Joyville launches its first project in Kolkata

The Shapoorji Pallonji Group, one of the oldest professionally managed Real Estate,Construction and Development companies in India today announced the highly anticipated affordable housing brand – Joyville and launched its first project in Howrah, Kolkata.

Joyville, Howrah will feature 3,400 flats of different sizes spread across more than 25 G+17 towers in three phases. With configurations ranging from 1 BHK, 1.5 BHK, 2 BHK (Small/ Large), 2.5 BHK, 3 BHK (Small/ Large) and Penthouses, the project is positioned in the aspirational housing segment, starting with a ticket size of Rs 15-20 lakhs.

Joyville, Howrah is located at a prime spot making it an ideal address for buyers with close proximity to social infrastructure like schools, malls, hospitals etc. The project amenities include clubhouse, sports-facilities for kids, recreation areas, parks & open spaces, and health-care facilities.

Speaking at the launch, Venkatesh Gopalkrishnan, Business Head – Joyville Shapoorji said, “Affordable housing is distinct from the Indian high-end real estate market, in terms of its market dynamics. We see a huge demand and need in Kolkata for affordable homes. It is a huge market for us with IT-ITeS sector that are dominant demand driver expanding their operations in the city. The Joyville projects will be located in suburban locations of pre-selected cities, which have clear growth potential, and are carefully selected based on a well-defined geographic strategy. It will provide affordable housing for families in the lower income group and the middle-income group segment. The business plan will focus on both tier-1 and tier-2 cities with project sizes in the range of 1.2mn to 5mn square feet. In the first phase of its business plan, the initiative targets a development of 20mn sq. ft. across the country, spanning cities such as Mumbai, Pune, NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad in the next 6-7 years. This initiative will include approximately 20,000 affordable residential housing units, to be built in accordance with green building principles.
